Lisa Engelkins joined CCCS in August 2002 as an Administrative Assistant for Senior Financial Care.  In 2004 she acquired her Certification in Credit and Housing Counseling through the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, as well as Housing Counselor certification through the NC Association of Housing Counselors to become a Pre-Purchase Housing Counselor at the Center for Homeownership.  In 2007 Lisa joined the Financial Management and Debt Counseling Program.  She counsels at the Prosperity Center in Waughtown three days a week, and at our North Point location two days a week. Lisa also serves as a Commissioner on the Human Relations Commission for the City of Winston Salem.

Debra McBeth joined CCCS Forsyth in August 2006 following 20+ years as an Investment Advisor and a Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®).  She earned her Credit Counselor certification through the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, and is a Certified Housing Counselor through the North Carolina Association of Housing Counselors.  Debra covers the CCCS Satellite Offices in Mocksville, Yadkinville, and Jefferson, NC, in addition to Winston-Salem.

Angel Miyares joined CCCS Forsyth in 2004 as a bilingual counselor in Spanish and English. He is a native of Cuba and an American citizen. He has over 30 years of experience in financial systems and management. He is a certified Credit Counselor through the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. He has completed HUD training in Loss Mitigation.

Rachel Paluzi joined CCCS Forsyth in February, 2008 as a bilingual financial counselor.  She is a certified credit and housing counselor through the National Foundation for Credit Counseling.  Rachel is fluent in both Spanish and English.  She spent 17 years working in a hospital setting in credit and collections in El Paso, Texas, with 13 years in budget counseling.  She came to CCCS with a broad knowledge of credit and collections laws as they pertain to the consumer, as well as financial resources and services available to assist clients.   Rachel serves our Spanish speaking as well as English speaking clients in Forsyth County.  She keeps office hours at our North Point office 3 days per week, and at the Prosperity Center in Waughtown 2 days per week.

Connie Cline joined the Senior Financial Care staff in February 2007 as a Reverse Mortgage Counselor. She has worked in the credit and housing counseling field for nearly 10 years and is a Certified Credit Counselor through the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. She is a Certified Housing Counselor through the NC Association of Housing Counselors and has received training in loss mitigation and predatory lending. She has obtained her Reverse Mortgage counseling certification from the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency and is qualified through AARP as a Reverse Mortgage counselor to provide counseling nationwide.

Vera Guthrie joined the CCCS Forsyth staff as a Senior Financial Care counselor in 2005, providing in-home financial management and insurance counseling services. She has over 20 years of banking experience plus five years in the insurance industry.  She is a Certified Credit Counselor through the National Foundation for Consumer Credit and a Certified Reverse Mortgage Counselor through the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency.  Vera has obtained her Reverse Mortgage counseling certification from the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency and is qualified through AARP as a Reverse Mortgage counselor to provide counseling nationwide. She has received certification through the N.C. Seniors Health Insurance Information Program to provide insurance counseling and has completed training in Foreclosure Prevention.
She has also completed HUD Loss Mitigation training and is a Notary Public.

Debbie Hall came to CCCS Forsyth in 2003 and is the Director of Senior Financial Care, a in-home counseling program for seniors.  She is a former real estate agent, credit manager, small business owner and volunteered for many years with the Kernersville Shepherd's Center.  She holds certifications as a  Certified Credit Counselor and Housing Counselor through the National Foundation for Credit Counseling and is a Certified Reverse Mortgage Counselor and High Cost Loan Counselor through the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency.  She is also certified as an AARP Reverse Mortgage Counselor at the national level.  She has received certification through the N.C. Seniors Health Insurance Information Program and has completed HUD training in Loss Mitigation.
