Bankruptcy
Bankruptcy is a word we all hope will not be a part of our lives, yet there are circumstances which may indicate the declaration of bankruptcy as the best option available to protect home and family.
CCCS Forsyth is approved by the North Carolina Bankruptcy Administrator for pre-filing certificate counseling in all districts of North Carolina, pursuant to 11 U.S.C. Section 111 of the Bankruptcy Reform Act dated April 20, 2005.
Implementation of the Bankruptcy Reform Law started on October 17, 2005 and Consumer Credit Counseling Staff are trained to explain and provide complete information regarding the filing of bankruptcy and its impact. A certificate is given at the end of the counseling session for the client to use in filing.
Clients may receive counseling by telephone or face-to-face. These sessions take approximately 60 to 90 minutes, and may be scheduled by calling our main number, 336-896-1191, toll free 888-474-8015, or email us at kathy.banks@cccsforsyth.org
